to her he walks through the crowd of people all saying their goodbyes and good lucks.  she lets him bring her to him, into his arms, while one forward hand moves low on her back and lower still.  she tenses, begins to back away and asks "what are you doing?"  he leans down and in, kisses her mouth gently.  she feels her cheeks burn, turns her head and argues, "no, wait - not in front of everyone."  plainly he answers, "i don't care - i love you."  she begins to weep quietly and says, "i love you, too," her heart crying with relief.  he hates to leave, but points to his phone, then walks away...
